Roll Call hired me to lead their responsive site redesign, which had a number of objectives. The first was to refresh the look and feel of the desktop and mobile designs as they were outdated and needed more flexibility for creating a variety article page templates. RC also wanted to create a new design system that incorporated their new brand colors and consistent use of fonts across their other suite of products. The final objective was to incorporate more content and visuals that reflects the vast amount of data that informs their editorial, which set them apart from their competitors. I met with multiple stakeholders for gathering requirements and user research to inform my designs. Working closely with the editorial team we made copy adjustments, determined character counts and variety of design templates to suite their editorial needs. I incorporated data visuals as a means to display their data in a user centric and easy to absorb way. Final stages was working with dev to ensure designs were built to spec and that all data visual concepts could be accomplished. I have received several accolades from both internal employees and external users for the new design.
